In the form of a scientific encyclopaedia, the artist duo Micha Payer and Martin Gabriel bring together selected passages from philosophical and popular science writings, statements by artists and their own texts. Set in interrelation with their detailed, almost exuberant graphic works, they provide a multi-branched introduction to their kaleidoscopic visual worlds, in which they "intuitively discuss civilizational questions of existence" (Die Presse).

We understand our drawings as an amalgamation of different worlds, as a synopsis, as a synopsis. We draw on a broad, diverse repertoire of images from antiquarian books, images from the Internet, photographs and personal material. The drawings, which appear as fragments of different times, worlds and media at the end of a long process, are then not only a reflection of this, but are understood as worlds of their own, in this respect our drawing itself is a way of creating worlds.
