Peter Kogler is one of Austria’s most prominent and innovative artists in the use of digital technologies. This new catalog is sensational because it showcases a series of works from Kogler’s pre-digital era. These include the eerie figures and cardboard sculptures he exhibited at the Gracie Mansion Gallery in the East Village in 1985, where he lived for several months. This catalog is the first to publish photos Kogler took with a simple Minox camera of the East Village and the local art and music scenes.
