The Viennese artist Michaela Spiegel combines the representation of the female body—as the elegant and sportily trained object of political-ideological gender fantasies—with analytical language wit and fragments of cultural waste. Work cycles emerge out of photos, paintings, objects and texts—with titles like “nice to meat you” or “The Rise & Fall of the Tutu”.
