Denisa Lehocká's artist's book creates a dialogue between her own sculptural settings and the works of the Friedrichshof collection. The artist contrasts these works of Viennese Actionism by Mühl, Brus and Nitsch with her reduced stylistic elements.
Lehocká's found objects—such as stones, timbers, pallets and empty canvases—refer to artistic resources and seem to create biographical references. The immanent materiality of plaster casts juxtapose the geometrical abstraction and seriality of Lehocká's drawings. Lehocká creates a dense network, in which the beholder has to decide what's real and fictitious.
In spectacular installation views the artist's book visualizes this extraordinary dialogue between contrary artistic positions and demonstrates the intensity of Lehocká's object language.
