KURT RYSLAVY

Since 1987 Austrian artist Kurt Ryslavy lives in Brussels. There he was able to establish a good middle-class being by practicing his art—a case study of the social perception of the “independent artist”.

Aspects of this camouflage of identity influence his work again and again, when he drafts lists and calculations and integrates them into his works or treats documents like paintings.
