Sigrid Kurz captures in her seemingly unintentional photos of New York’s galleries and alternative art spaces predefined aspects of representation, information and art-dealing: She concentrates on intuitive visual perception of the “display” and shows recurring elements of the galleries’ architecture. Kurz’ portraits refer to people who work in these spaces in accordance with an environment co-designed by the artist. (Hina Berau)
