OTTO MUEHL

The complete works of Otto Muehl embrace more than five decades of creativity in which an extensive, highly diverse and complex oeuvre has emerged. Combining the entire artist estate in the Estate Otto Muehl has made it possible, for the first time ever, to showcase a representative cross-section of works from all chapters of the artist’s creative periods in the exhibition rooms of Sammlung Friedrichshof.

In addition to documents from the early days of Viennese Actionism, which to date have dominated perceptions and interpretations of Otto Muehl’s works, the catalogue presents select examples of pictorial, graphic, and cinematic works created from the early 1970s on.
