The book documents Anna Heindl's jewelry exhibition in the Kunstkammer of the KHM in Vienna. In dialog with an altarpiece from the early 15th century, she created a jewelry cycle based on scenes and motifs from the depicted saints' legends. The work of the painter and the jewelry sculptor is dominated by spiritual seriousness, masterful craftsmanship and boldly heightened artistic forms. Anna Heindl discovers a millennia-old world of female imagery for contemporary jewelry art.
The catalog of works is accompanied by a text by art historian Susanne Längle and an interview with the artist.
